House Rules
Theatre Aquarius produces live theatre. As such, both audience members and actors are aware of what is happening in the auditorium.

Please ensure that everyone attending on your trip is made aware of these policies, as they are enforced by staff and ushers.

1. No Smoking. Theatre Aquarius is a smoke-free environment
2. Everyone must have a ticket in hand when entering the auditorium and sit according to the seat location specified on the ticket.
3. Babes in arms are not permitted in the auditorium.
4. No food or beverage is allowed in the auditorium. Not only can it create a mess, but very often it can create noise. If you are caught with food or beverage in the auditorium, we reserve the right to remove the item from the individual. If expenses are incurred to clean the seat and/or floor area due to food, beverage, gum etc. an invoice, for the full amount of the cleaning, will be issued to the individual/group.
5. No electronic devices in the auditorium - no exceptions!Cameras, tape recorders, video recorders, pagers, cell phones or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the auditorium. No exceptions. The theatre reserves the right to remove the item from the individual and return it to the owner after the performance has ended. In the event the individual takes a picture or records throughout the performance, the pictures will be deleted or the film and/or tape will be removed from the camera and will become property of Theatre Aquarius.
6. You are asked not to visit the orchestra pit prior to, during or after the performance.
7. We reserve the right to remove any individuals and/or groups causing a disturbance during the performance without refund (this includes talking). We also reserve the right to refuse admission to those who have displayed disruptive behaviour in the past.
8. Any individual caught throwing an item, whether it is from the balcony level or the orchestra level will be removed, without refund.
9. Seat plaques on the arm of the chair and the row letters on the outside of the aisle seat are not to be removed. In the event a known plaque goes missing, the individual/group will be billed for its replacement.
10. After the show has ended, everyone must exit the auditorium and return to the lobby.

Theatre Etiquette

Our Ten Commandments

1. Thou shalt not take any food or drink into the auditorium. (It is not a cafeteria or a lunch room)
2. Thou shalt not arrive late. (This is an insult to performers and annoying to those on time)
3. Thou shalt not talk during the performance. (Your're not at home watching television)
4. Thou shalt not sing along with the performers. (Save that for after the show on the bus ride home)
5. Thou shalt not sit on the edge of thy seat and lean forward. (Everyone behind you has to do the same)
6. Thou shalt not attend with hats or big hairdos. (No one pays to look at the back of your head)
7. Thou shalt not place feet on seat in front. (The back of the seat in front does not belong to you)
8. Thou shalt not go to and fro from thy seat during the performance. (This disrupts the show)
9. Thou shalt not remove the name plaques from seat arms. (These are not your trophies to take home)
10. Thou shalt not attend with anything that flashes, beeps rings or buzzes (Accompaniment provided by the orchestra only)

To ensure the audience's full enjoyment, Theatre Aquarius reserves the right to remove schools and/or individuals who cause a disturbance during the performance. We also reserve the right to refuse admission to those schools/individuals who have displayed disruptive behaviour in the past.
